Cabbage with Beef and Potatoes

Just a mixture cabbage and potatoes have been going together since Colcannon was first made. This is a good meal to end winter with. The flowers are blooming and birds singing so the 2 weeks of winter are over here in Florida.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 poundYukon gold potatoes
  2. 1 poundground sirloin
  3. 1-1/4 poundsavory cabbage
  4. 14 ouncesdiced tomatoes
  5. 2 teaspoongranulated onion powder
  6. 1-1/2 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  7. 1 teaspoonground black pepper
  8. 2 teaspoonred wine vinegar
  9. 2/3 cupred wine

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Dice the potatoes, chop the cabbage, brown the beef, add seasonings and the tomatoes. Stir everything together.

    Add red wine to the stirred up cabbage mixture. Simmer on low heat 30 minutes covered then stir in the red wine vinegar and adjust seasonings. Stir again cover let rest 15-20 minutes covered. Serve I hope you enjoy!!!!
