Cooking Instructions

First activate yeast in warm milk and allow to sit for 5 to 10mins until it foams

Measure flour into a bowl,add salt and sugar and mix

Rub in butter,then gradually add in milk,water and yeast mixture and knead for 5 to 10 mins until soft

Cover and allow to rise for an hour or in the refrigerator over night

After rising punch the dough and cut into 6.

Roll out each ball thinly into a long rectangle about 24 by 8 inches.It should be very thin that you can see your fingers through it when you put your fingers beneath.A pasta maker will be important at this stage.

Soften the 180gg butter and use a spoon or finger tips to spread butter on the rectangles

Beginning from the shortest end,roll each rectangle into a mat tightly.

Allow to rest for 10mins

Use a sharp knife and split each roll into two,Can you can see the many layers in there? This will give us the flakeness we are looking for.

Twist and arrange in a muffin pan

Cover and allow to rise,until they fill kthe muffin holes.

Bake in a pre heated oven until golden brown for about 20 mins at 360

Serve with jam,powdered sugar,tea,juice or whatever you like.
