Ingredients

  1. Basbousa Cake
  2. 2 cupssemovita
  3. 2 tablespoonsflour
  4. 1 teaspoonbaking powder
  5. 2 spoonsmelted butter
  6. 2eggs
  7. Sugar (to taste)
  8. 1/2 teaspoonsvanilla extract
  9. 1 canfull cream Evaporated milk
  10. Sugar syrup
  11. 3 cupssugar
  12. 5 cupswater
  13. Lemon juice
  14. Dropsvanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix dry ingredients: semolina, baking powder and flour. Rub in the melted butter and mix thoroughly.

  2. 2

    Whisk the liquid ingredients: eggs, milk and vanilla. Add sugar and grated coconut or desiccated coconut. Mix them together. Add water if necessary to make a nice batter.

  3. 3

    Bake in a preheated oven until done.

  4. 4

    Make syrup and soaked the cake in it. Leave to rest and sprinkle coconut.
