This is the meatball variation of our family's standard recipe for simmered hamburger steaks. I got the idea from a cookbook I looked at a very long time ago! If you are serving this to small children, omit the red chili peppers. For 4 servings. Recipe by Chisora cookpad.japan -
Sweet Savoury Pasta Meat Sauce Kid-Friendly (Bolognese) Sweet Savoury Pasta Meat Sauce Kid-Friendly (Bolognese)
Here in Manila we love our spaghetti a bit sweetish and very saucy. 😋 So both the kids and kids at heart love it.This was gone after the first two sets of guests arrived! Spaghetti is always a crowd pleaser in gatherings here. You can use your favorite pasta on this too.Sweet tomato / spaghetti sauces are readily available in our supermarkets in Manila. If there aren't any in your area, just add brown sugar to adjust the sweetness. :) I still use fresh tomatoes when making pasta sauce, as it enhances the flavor (which is not common practice here). My rule is, don't just open something and heat it, always add to it and make it your own! 😊 I also combine different types/flavors of the tomato/spaghetti sauces, because it makes the end result better and tastier. Tomato Pasta Sauce Tomato Pasta Sauce
Ok, I'm always in search of perfection as far as tomato sauce goes... It's my own personal "holy grail." (and please, to any and all "real chefs" out there, if you have any suggestions for this recipe, it would be more than welcome) My grandmother made amazing tomato sauce but died from Alzheimers before I could get the recipe from her. Since then I've been experimenting with this recipe constantly. I've tried numerous incarnations, numerous ingredient variants, etc. I feel as if I still don't have it down to perfection, but I have it good enough that it still yields a decent sauce. FYI: this recipe is for a big batch. I designed and cook it this way because it's simply delectable and is perfect to put in containers, freeze, and have on a night where you're simply too busy to make something homemade.P. S. - I know, it's strange putting butter in a tomato sauce, and it seems like alot of butter, but I assure you, that's what makes the recipe. The Sexy Chef -

This bolognese pasta is full of the taste of Italian home cooking.Cooling the sauce down completely after its made enhances its flavor. You can make a half portion of this recipe by reducing all the ingredients by half, but I think it is convenient to make a bunch and divide it and freeze them it for later use.
