Easy All-Purpose Apple Caramel Sauté

I always receive plenty of apples every year, so I put them to good use by turning them into this delicious arrangement.

Since there's a fine line between caramel and burnt sugar, make sure you turn off the heat at a point of perfect caramelization.
It's fine to slightly brown the apples, as this will add a nice flavor. Recipe by Koyukki-

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1Apple
  2. 5 tbspSugar
  3. 1 tbspButter
  4. 1Cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the apple and cut into small pieces. Spread the pieces evenly in a frying pan.

    Completely cover the apples with sugar.

  3. 3

    Cook them over high heat, stirring occasionally, without mixing them too much.

  4. 4

    Keep it over high heat until the edges become caramelized.

  5. 5

    They're finished when every piece of apple becomes a deep caramel color. Turn off the heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of butter. Add cinnamon to taste.

    This can be used an infinite amount of ways. Have it with yogurt or ice cream, and of course, it's good as a pie or bread filling.

    Once it has cooled, transfer to a Ziplock bag to store in the freezer.
