Easy Marzipan Figures with Pancake Mix

I wanted to make something like this from leftover tart dough.

If you add body parts, it will puff up and will look different. It looks OK for figures like animals, but I recommend making just a face for figures like Anpanman. Make the color of the dough slightly darker because the color of the figure will be lighter after baking it. You can freeze the leftover dough for later use. Recipe by Healthy daisuki

  1. 40 gramsPancake mix
  2. 20 gramsSilken tofu

Cooking Instructions

    Please refer to the: "Healthy Tart". You will use the leftover from this recipe to make marzipan-like decorations. You can also use the dough that has been frozen for later use.

    [Make the dough] Wipe the excess water from the dough with paper towels. Combine it with the pancake mix, wrap it with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 1 hour.

    Make necessary colored dough for your figure by kneading in the food coloring ingredients. Wrap each dough with plastic wrap. (Let it rest and the color will blend in.)

    Make your favorite figures.

    Once the figures are made, bake in a preheated oven at 150℃ for 10 minutes and it is done. Use cocoa powder or chocolate to draw the face.

    [Using a toaster oven] Bake it for 2-3 minutes. Cover it with aluminum foil to prevent it from scorching.

    You don't have to use 3D marzipan figures. You can make easy figures like making cookies.
