For Doll Festival: Easy Tri-Color Steamed Bread Cake made with Pancake Mix

I wanted to make a tri-color pound cake for the doll festival....and I wanted it to be healthy...there was still some yogurt left...and why not make steamed bread? ....so I just mixed the ingredients and made this!

When creating a layer with the batter, pour the batter evenly from the beginning like in Step 7. If you pour the batter in the middle first and try to spread it out, the cake batters will blend together.
I didn't use sugar because I had in mind to make a healthy cake, so the cake is only slightly sweet. Adjust the amount of sugar depending to your liking. For one 15 cm [5.9 in] × 15 cm plastic container. Recipe by Marrietty

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 100 grams★Pancake mix
  2. 70 grams★Yogurt
  3. 1★Egg
  4. 5 grams★Margarine (butter flavored)
  5. 1 tspMatcha or green vegetable powder
  6. 1to make the color you like (I could even make it using instant matcha latte powder.)
  7. 1just 1 dash Food coloring (red)
  8. 1 tspMilk

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Put all the ★ ingredients in a bowl (drain the yogurt and melt the butter in advance) and mix using a whisk until smooth.

  2. 2

Take 1/3 of the batter and put it in a small bowl. Add matcha and mix well.

  3. 3

Pour the matcha batter in a heatproof container and tap the container on the work surface to even out the surface.

  4. 4

Heat up the batter in a microwave for 20 seconds to make the surface a little bit dry and firm. The batter will soon rise, so don't take your eyes off of it while heating it up!

  5. 5

Divide the rest of the batter into two portions. Leave one as it is and gently pour it onto the matcha batter from Step 4. Heat it up in the microwave for 20 seconds to cook.

  6. 6

Dissolve just a little bit of red food coloring in milk and mix it with the remaining batter to make it pink.

  7. 7

Gently pour the pink batter on the cooked batter from Step 5 and heat in a 600 W microwave for about 3 to 4 minutes.

  8. 8

I feel that when the microwave temperature is high, the batter tends to bubble and rise, causing the layers to mix together. Check how the cake looks while cooking, then lower the wattage and adjust the time.

  9. 9

Then the cake is ready when you stick a bamboo skewer through the cake and it comes out clean Once cooled and removed from the container, the cake will have 3 distinct tiers.

For those who don't have food coloring! Here is a recipe for a Two-color Steamed Bread with Adzuki Beans..
