I created this recipe because I wanted to eat a freshly baked and crispy apple pie.

Cooking Instructions

Defrost the frozen puff pastry. Preheat the oven to 200℃.

Slice the apple and put into a pot. Sprinkle granulated sugar on top.

Stir-fry over medium heat until the water has evaporated. Turn off the heat, add butter, and mix. If you are using cinnamon, add it here.

Roll out one of the pastry sheets into a 15 x 15 cm square, and spread the Step 3 filling. Brush with the beaten egg to stick the edges.

Roll out the other puff pastry the same as the previous one, and make cuts.

Place the Step 5 puff pastry on top, and press down the edges with a fork.

Brush on plenty of the beaten egg to glaze.

Bake in the oven preheated to 200℃ for 20 minutes, then it's done.
