An Easy Method for Parboiling Greens

I wondered if there was a way to parboil the greens over the kitchen sink.
In Step 4, be sure to soak the entire stalk and leaves with the hot water. Work quickly. Do not parboil for too long.
Be careful not to scald yourself. Recipe by michipapa
Cooking Instructions
- 1
I rinsed and removed the dirt and damaged parts from 10 bunches of spinach, and placed them in a bowl.
- 2
*Prepare a colander and a bowl of water. Boil the water for parboiling in a pot.
- 3
First, pour the boiling water over the stalks into the bowl, and soak in boiling water for a minute.
- 4
After 1 minute, lay the greens on their side, and pour the remaining boiling water over the leaves, while stirring them up from top to bottom.
- 5
Drain the greens in a colander right away to prevent overcooking. Transfer to the prepared bowl of water, then run cold water over them to cool.
- 6
For spinach and other greens that are a bit bitter, soak in water for a while.
