Cooking Instructions

1hr 20min
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a medium microwavable bowl add bout half the jar of apricot preserves, 2Tbsps. Water, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Microwave for 1-2 minutes soft. Mix well. Set aside.

  2. 2

Unwrap the ham and Rinse and pat the ham dry. Add the 1 1/2 Cups Water to a baking dish big enough to hold the ham. Then add the ham. xWith a basting brush. Coat the ham all over very well with the apricot mixture. Once coated evenly place in the preheated oven for 45 minutes uncovered (Do not open oven at all anytime while baking this ham).

  3. 3

Once the 45 minute timer goes off baste the ham a 2nd time evenly coated all over then put back into the oven for another 35-40 minutes.

  4. 4

Once the 35 minute timer goes off remove from oven and coat with the last remaining glaze. Cover with aluminum foil and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice and Serve immediately and Enjoy 😋

  5. 5

*with the leftover cooking liquid in the pan from the ham I usually add it to a saucepan with some seasonings, a little bit bit of pineapple or apricot nectar juice, and a rue made from cornstarch and water. I mix it all together and keep stirring over medium heat til the gravy has thickened to desired consistency. I then serve it with the ham and mashed potatoes or freeze it once its cooled down for another use and time****
