Today am making famous pastry in Malaysia, I was so happy to see the spiral puffs beautifully fried. Iftar idea.
Cooking Instructions

For the water dough; mix flour with salt, add oil then water gradually till a slightly soft dough is achieved. For the oil dough; mix flour with butter and divide and make balls the water dough slightly bigger than the oil dough.

Get the oil dough and flatten with rolling pin like disc and place the oil dough on top, wrap the water dough around it, do the same to all.

Lightly dust your working surface with flour, get the dough and roll it/flatten it out into small rectangle, fold again like mat and roll/flatten out again into small rectangle,

Fold again like mat and slice into 3-4 depending on the size you want. *As seen in the pictures* flatten each into thin circles and place your filling. Seal the edge by pinching/pleating and folding, repeat to all and deep fry in hot oil.
