Ingredients

3-4 servings
  1. 2 cupschickpeas, boiled
  2. 3 Tbspcooking oil
  3. 1 tspcumin seeds
  4. 1bay leaf
  5. 4cloves
  6. 5black pepper
  7. For Masala paste
  8. 1/2 cupchopped onion
  9. 1 Tbspginger garlic
  10. 1 TbspPoppy seeds
  11. 2tomatoes
  12. 1green chilli
  13. 1/3 tspturmeric powder
  14. 1 tspred chilli powder
  15. 2 tspcumin-coriander powder
  16. As per taste Salt
  17. 1/3 tspgaram masala
  18. 1 Tbspchopped mint leaves
  19. To garnish-
  20. 1 Tbspchopped coriander
  21. slicesFew Lemon
  22. as required Chopped onion
  23. as required Split green chilli

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a wok. Add all whole spices and allow to crackle.

    Add the poppy seeds, onion masala paste with 1Tbsp water and cook on low flame.

    Mix chopped tomatoes, green chilli and rest dry masala including salt and turmeric powder.

    Add boiled chana chopped mint leaves and cook for 3-4 minutes with masala. Add the boiled water of chole to make gravy. Boil, covered to get required consistency.

    Garnish with coriander, green chilli,onion and lemon slices.
