Ingredients

90mins
6 servings
  1. 250 gflour
  2. 1 cupButtermilk
  3. 113 gButter
  4. 250 gSugar
  5. 1 tspButtercup flavour
  6. 1 tspBaking soda
  7. 1teaspoon
  8. 1 tablespoonVinegar
  9. 2Eggs
  10. 1 1/4 tspRed colour
  11. Cocoa powder ½ tbspon
  12. Baking soda

Cooking Instructions

90mins
  1. 1

Before,we start, make sure the oven is on moderate heat.
Get your mixer out, cream the Butter and sugar till it becomes very light and fluffy.

  2. 2

Break in the eggs one after the other, pour Butterscotch flavour as well.
    Mix on low speed.

Sieve the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, red colour powder, salt and baking powder and set aside.

  3. 3

While the mixer is still running, add flour, mix and pour in the buttermilk, do this in patches..but make sure you add the buttermilk last after flour...and mix well on low speed.

Lastly, add the 1 tbsp of vinegar to the cake batter and mix....

  4. 4

Get your cake pan ready...I use 8 inches pan....cream the pan very well, cover with parchment paper and pour in the batter...

  5. 5

Next bake in moderate heat for about 35mins. To endure the cake is moist, bake on moderate heat.

Thing to note.about this cake, if you are baking and notice that the side are ready, use a foil to cover the top to avoid the cake loosing its moist...👌

  6. 6

Once it ready, remove cake on a baking rack and allow to cool and slice up and just enjoy with your favourite drink....
