preheat oven to 350

mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa. Set aside

Mix oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time blending well after each. Add vinegar, vanilla, and coloring. Mix well.

Blend in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.

Pour into 3 greased 9 inch round pans. Bake for 30 minutes.

For icing beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add vanilla and blend well. Slowly add powered sugar. Blend in nuts.
