Hamburger Sauce With Onion & Apple

I made this because the onion sauce I had with my hamburger patty at a restaurant was so good.

The hardest part is grating the onion! I wear my contact lenses to make it easier for myself (as I have bad eyesight anyway. Your eyes won't sting as much if you put on your contacts! You can also modify this recipe by using a food processor, or dicing the onion instead. Recipe by yamita

Ingredients

  1. see Hamburgers
  2. 1/2Onion
  3. 1/4Apple
  4. 1 cloveGarlic
  5. 1 pieceGinger
  6. 1 tbspVegetable oil
  7. 1 tbsp●Honey (or sugar)
  8. 1 tbsp●Mirin
  9. 4 tbsp●Soy sauce
  10. 1 dash●Salt and pepper
  11. 30 ml●Water

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Grate the onion and apple. Mince the garlic and ginger.

  2. 2

    Add the vegetable oil to a small frying pan, and fry the minced garlic and ginger until it starts to smell good.

    Add the grated onion and apple to Step 2 and fry for about 5 minutes. Next, add the ● ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Pour it over hamburgers or other meat dishes and enjoy~!
