  1. 1/2 cupsoft butter
  2. 1/2 cuppacked dark brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cuppure maple syrup
  4. 2 tspvanilla
  5. 1 tspnutmeg
  6. Pinchcinnamon
  7. 1 tspbaking soda
  8. 1/2 tspsalt
  9. 2eggs, well beaten
  10. 1 1/2 cupflour
  11. 3 cupsGrape-Nut cereal

Cooking Instructions

    Cream together butter, sugar, syrup, vanilla, and spices

    Add eggs

  3. 3

    Add soda and salt

  4. 4

    Blend thoroughly

  5. 5

    Fold in flour and cereal

  6. 6

    Preheat oven 350

    Scoop cookies by Tablespoon onto parchment lined baking sheets

    Cookies will spread a little so give them room

  9. 9

    Bake 10-14 minutes or until edges are golden and middle of each cookie is set

    Cool on pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack to cool completely

    Add raisins, dried cranberries, or chopped mixed dried fruit, white chocolate or chocolate chips to this versatile cookie. Enjoy!

Started cooking/baking with Gram just as soon as I was old enough to stand in a chair, with her apron tied around my chest. Made my first solo Thanksgiving meal at age 8. Putting a new flair on classic nothern New England style cooking.
