Cooking Instructions

PREPARING THE WAGYU BEEF BEER BRATS
Place a stainless steel saute pan over high heat.
Add in 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
NOTE: I don’t recommend using a non-stick pan, as it will be more difficult to get a nice sear on the sausages.
Place the Wagyu beef bratwurst into the hot pan to brown. Cook for 2 minutes without moving them.
Then, flip the bratwurst, and cook for 2-3 minutes more on the other side.
Remove the bratwurst from pan, and set aside.
Add the salted butter and remaining olive
- 2
Once bubbling, add the sliced onions. Saute for 5-8 minutes, while scraping the pan to loosen any browned bits.
Add the beer and the kosher salt to the pan.
Then, add the seared bratwurst back in.
Reduce the heat to a simmer, and place the lid onto the pan.
Braise at a slow simmer for 15-20 minutes until the Wagyu beef bratwurst are completely cooked (should read 165°F on a meat thermometer).

FINAL STEPS
Slice the rolls/buns lengthwise, but not all the way through.
Smear one side of the bun with stone ground mustard.
Use tongs to remove the cooked onions from the beer braise (in the pan), and place the onions on the bun.
Finish by placing the cooked bratwurst on the bun.
Repeat the process until all of the Wagyu beef beer brats are assembled.
Serve with sauerkraut on the side, so people can add it if they prefer.
Enjoy!

This is also something that I would do all the time when I raised pigs. I buy pre mixed seasoning packs from a company called Excalibur. These are easily found online from their distributor at Waltons. I have both hand seasoned, and used these in the past. In my opinion, these packs are the way to go. They come with everything you need. These are a quality product, and this helps get a consistent product every time. The seasoning packs are for 25 lbs of meat. I try for a 70/30 ratio of meat to fat. If you prefer to not use beer, substitute with the same amount of ice cold water. wingmaster835 -

You’ll never guess!!! The last of Easter’s leftovers 😂😂smoked brats and smoked sausage. This was so easy! My daughter Kati and I brainstormed on this one. This is one of my fave recipes to date. And it went together so fast. If you don’t like such a bitter beer use whatever kind you like. I like it strong. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -
Philly Cheesesteak Brats Philly Cheesesteak Brats
Delightfully messy and delicious. There's a reason I say "your favorite cheese sauce" instead of specifying btw. I know there are 2 main cheeses people love on their philly. Provolone or straight up Cheez Whiz. And maybe I've just smartened up enough over the years to know better than to try telling people which they should use. Lmao. Btw, I used a slice of American and some homemade cheese sauce on my own. 😉 StephieCanCook -
