Easy Celery Chicken Soup

Fresh celery is of course delicious, but stir-fried and simmered celery is also tasty. This soup with beaten egg reminds me of my school lunch and makes me nostalgic.

I prefer chicken consomme to normal consomme. Adding beaten egg makes "Kakitama-jiru" soup (soup with beaten egg), and it's also delicious. Recipe by uronn

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 stalkCelery
  2. 1/2Chicken breast
  3. 5cm Carrot
  4. 1/2Onion
  5. 3Chicken consomme stock cubes
  6. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  7. 1 tspMirin
  8. 1 tspUsukuchi soy sauce

Cooking Instructions

    Chop the ingredients into bite-size pieces (cut the chicken into 1 cm cubes and thinly slice the vegetables).

    When the water (about 900 ml) starts to boil, add the consomme, chicken, vegetables, and seasonings! Simmer for about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Right before turning off the heat, sprinkle chopped celery leaves, and it's finished. The soup is fragrant and delicious!
