I make ice cream almost every day during the summer, and even in winter I make it about twice a week.I've used many recipes as the based and adapted them.If you crush the Oreos in a plastic bag and mix them in from the start to the ice cream mix, the crumbs will make the ice cream look dirty.Break up the Oreo cookies so they don't turn into crumbs. Mix them in halfway through the churning process for a nice finish.The ice cream has to be rested however, or the cookie bits won't be softened enough.If you add the Oreo cookies at the start, the ice cream won't look as nice, but it will taste great. I got this recipe from Cookies & Cups on Facebook. Too delicious not to share! It turned out more awesome than I'd ever dreamed it would. It's a very rich recipe, so cut it into small squares for just that right amount of ooegy gooey goodness. :)

I am not a huge pudding pie person, but I really loved the idea of turning it into a more whipped cream consistency! Plus who doesn't love oreos?

I played around with a recipe from a TV show and it ended up nicely. It's great as a snack for small children and also uses up large amounts of too ripe bananas.The cookie crust used in this recipe doesn't require any melted butter to hold it together. You could also use a store bought pie crust, homemade tart crust, etc.According to the TV show where this recipe originated from, the pectin in the banana coming in contact with the calcium from the milk, causes the pudding to harden.That's why it is important to wait until the banana peel turns brown and the banana is very ripe, in order to activate the pectin.
