Ingredients

20-25 balls
  1. 20medjool dates or any soft dates pitted (soak in 1/3 cup of water)
  2. 3 Tbspraisins
  3. 1 Tbspclarified butter / ghee
  4. 1/2 cuppistachios
  5. 1/4 cupcashews nut
  6. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  7. 1 cupalmonds
  8. 1/4 cupmelon seeds
  9. 1/4 cupsesame seeds
  10. 1/4desiccated coconut
  11. 1/4 cupwalnuts

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In a blender take seedless dates with water and
    blend around 4-5 pulses.
    blend dates coarsely. keep aside.

    Now finely chop cashews, pistachios and almonds. do not powder them as you wont enjoy the crunchy bites.

    Now take a nonstick pan and add a tbsp of ghee.
    add all the dry fruits like raisins, cashews, pistachios, walnuts and almonds. Fry them on medium flame for 3-4 minutes till they change colour lightly then add melon seeds, sesame seeds, desiccated coconut roast for a 5-6 second now add coarsely blend dates.

    Continue to fry on medium flame smashing dates with a spatula. this helps dates to separate out and mix uniformly with other dry fruits.
    also add cardamom powder and continue to saute.

    Sauté till the dates start releasing oil.
    turn off the flame and allow to cool for a minute or 2.
    then immediately start making balls. do not cool completely, then you wont be able to make balls.

    serve immediately with tea, milk or store in airtight container.
