Shwarma Shwarma
Shawarma, also shaurma and other spellings, is a Middle Eastern meat preparation based on the doner kebab of Ottoman Turkey. Originally made of lamb or mutton, today's shawarma may also be chicken, turkey, beef, or veal, cut in thin slices and stacked in a cone-like shape on a vertical rotisserie. As we don't have gears to cook Shwarma at home, I roasted it on a nonstick pan. Pita bread was bought from the store for Shwarma today. I have used chicken breast to make Shwarma, but chicken thigh, mutton, and other meat can also be used. Please visit my website www.myfoodbug.com for more interesting recipes.pragati

Catalan "Pa amb Tomàquet" (bread with tomato spread) Catalan "Pa amb Tomàquet" (bread with tomato spread)
This is more a suggestion/hint than a recipe because it is SO simple (but effective)! This is the way we prepare bread to eat for breakfasts or starters in Catalonia, normally with sliced ham, "charcuteria" (cold cuts) or cheese. Enjoy!! Chema -

A Former Steak Chef's Recipe for Beef Steak A Former Steak Chef's Recipe for Beef Steak
I always cook steak this way! It's just like they do it at steak restaurants! Imported beef is tough and dry? No it's not! You're just not cooking it right! What's the ichibo (culotte)? It's a part of the round, and there's only about 2 kilo of it per cow. Let's just call it sirloin!I use an old worn out non-stick frying pan. Let the meat come to room temperature → cut the muscle fibers → salt and pepper →use a red hot frying pan → flambé the meat → rest the meat! That's it! If you want to grill a steak in a frying pan, this is the recipe for you. Wrap the steak in foil and let it rest to prevent the juices from running out! For 1 serving. Egg Balls with Cheese (For Lunchboxes) Egg Balls with Cheese (For Lunchboxes)
I wanted to come up with a recipe for a cute bento item that can be made with eggs and cheese, even when there's no meat on hand. The added hamburger sauce gives them a rich flavor. Even chopped up vegetables are gobbled up when they're in these little balls. If you are putting these in bentos for small children, they may be easier to eat if you cut them into 3 or 4 pieces. You can put anything in the middle such as a small piece of bell pepper or carrot, finely chopped. Adjust the microwave cooking time. If you add a bit of sugar, they'll be subtly sweet. For 2 large or 3 medium balls. Recipe by miyuki12 cookpad.japan
