Ingredients

  1. 500 grmsflour
  2. I tspn salt
  3. 75 grmsbutter
  4. 1egg
  5. I tspn vanilla extract use coconut flavor for coconut chinchin
  6. 1 cupmilk
  7. 100 grmssugar
  8. 1tspn baking powder
  9. 1tspn salt
  10. 75 grmsbutter
  11. 1egg
  12. 1tspn vanilla flavor
  13. Nutmeg or cinnamon powder

Cooking Instructions

    Sift the flour in a bowl.

    Add in the sugar, salt, baking powder and nutmeg or cinnamon.

    And in the butter and Incorporate together with your fingers. Till crumb like texture

    Make a well in the center and add in the egg.

    Next add in the flavor

    Add the milk bit by bit till it forms a smooth dough. Cover and allow to rest for 15 mins

    After 15 minutes, sprinkle flour on your work surface and divide the dough into 2

  8. 8

    Roll out the dough, cut the first part into squares and the other half into long strips

  9. 9

    Heat up enough oil because we're deep-frying it

  10. 10

    Once the oil is hot, carefully drop the cutouts into the oil and fry till Golden brown.

  11. 11

    Note: keep stirring while frying it's a non stop process until it turns golden brown. Put newspaper in your drainer or colander to remove excess oil

    Can be enjoyed as a snack all alone or can be paired with tea ☕☕
