Today, I have cooked bateta poha in an easy way so that the bachelors and the bigginers can also cook. Mixing it well before putting in the kadhai makes it easy to cook. As the ingredients are mixed well so no lumps of masala will form and it becomes easy to stir it well and its ready to serve.

Ingredients

  1. 1 bowlflattened rice(poha)
  2. 1boiled potato
  3. 1onion
  4. 2-3 tsppeanut
  5. 1 tbspoil
  6. 1 tspmustard seeds
  7. 1green chilli
  8. 6-7curry leaves
  9. 1 tsplemon juice
  10. 1 tspsugar
  11. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  12. as requiredSalt to taste
  13. As requiredWater
  14. as requiredGarnish: fresh coriander leaves & sev

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and sieve poha. Mix every dry masala, sugar and salt. Add lemon juice as well and give it a good mix. Now in a kadhai add oil and fry peanuts. Remove them as they are fried. Now in the same kadhai add mustard seeds, chilli, onion and curry leaves and saute well.

    Now add the ready poha and give it a good mix. Finally add fresh coriander leaves chopped and mix well.

    Our bateta poha is ready to serve. Transfer in a serving plate and garnisg it with sev and serve it hot with adrak chai in the breakfast.
