Its crockpot season …. My first soup of the season well chowder . Because potatoes are not cheap anymore i went to canned potatoes for my soups, it also cuts down the cooking times. When i made this i cut down my broth to 2 cups to cut down the recipe for 4 ppl so thats why it might not look the same when you made it. ( i was also low on my better than bouillon)

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1-2 lbsmoked sausage
  2. 1-2canned potatoes cut potatoes to bite size
  3. 1/2onion diced
  4. 1 cancream of corn
  5. 2 Tminced garlic
  6. 1 tdried thyme
  7. salt and pepper to taste
  8. 1 tablespooncornstarch
  9. 4 Cchicken broth
  10. 1/3 Chalf and half

Cooking Instructions

    Add everything to show cooker but the half and half, mix well…

    Low-6 hrs for red and yellow potatoes. Canned potatoes should be 3 hours or until heated through, you don’t want mushy potatoes. Cook time varies.

    Stir in half and half just before serving and mix well.

    Can use red or yellow potatoes, i used canned to cut the cook time down.
