This recipe was inspired by Skunkmonkey101’s Warm Red Cabbage Salad. I modified it a little and added a sweet onion. Very tasty side.

This recipe was inspired by Skunkmonkey101’s Warm Red Cabbage Salad. I modified it a little and added a sweet onion. Very tasty side.
Cooking Instructions

In a large skillet cook the bacon. You want it crispy. Transfer cooked bacon to a plate with paper towel to drain. Crumble bacon.

Add onion to skillet and cook to just barely softened. Add vinegar, sugar and black pepper. Mix well and add in the cabbage. Cook to just wilt, you want the cabbage to be a little firm. You might want to put a lid on the skillet to help wilt the cabbage. Mix in crumbled bacon.

Serve warm and enjoy!
