Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupyellow moong dal
  2. 1/2 cupghee
  3. 2 tspmilk powder
  4. 2 tspmalai
  5. 1/2 cupsugar
  6. 1 tspcardmum powder
  7. 1/2 tspkesar strands
  8. 4cashews
  9. 4almonds
  10. 1/2 tsppitas slices

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat half of the ghee add cashews and almonds fry to golden and transfer to a plate.

    Add yellow moong dal to ghee and fry till golden on low heat, cool it and grind to coarse paste adding water.

  3. 3

    Add to the same pan and cook it for a few minutes add milk powder, malai and continue cooking.

    Add sugar and cook till it melts add ghee in between and continue cooking till ghee separate and leaves bottom add cardmum powder, kesar strands, almonds and cashews mix everything well.

    Moong dal halwa is ready to serve/enjoy
