Alluring French Toast Topped with Strawberry Sauce

I got some in-season strawberries for cheap, so I wanted to make some luxurious French toast with them!
If you don't mash up the strawberries, it will be nice and chunky.
With an easy, lumpy strawberry sauce, you can make this rich French toast any time!
There's nothing really difficult to this recipe, so I guess if I have to say something, just be careful not to over-cook the sauce or the French toast! For 2 servings. Recipe by Gu-san

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Besides the ingredients for the strawberry sauce, this is all you need (just like regular French toast).
- 2
Thoroughly mix together the egg, sugar, milk, and vanilla oil in a bowl. Cut the bread to your desired size.
- 3
Let the bread soak in the egg mixture. While you wait, make the strawberry sauce!
- 4
In a small pot, combine the strawberries, sugar, and a few drops of lemon juice. Let it sit until the moisture starts to come out and the sugar melts into it! If using large strawberries, cut them in half.
- 5
Simmer on low heat until the strawberries become soft to make the sauce. Be careful not to over-cook, or the liquid will completely evaporate!
- 6
While making the strawberry sauce, cook the French toast over medium-low heat! It's easy to over-fry it, so be careful and watch the color of your French toast!
- 7
Once the bread has cooked, transfer to a plate and top with the warm strawberry sauce. Enjoy! If you dust it with powdered sugar, it becomes even more amazing!

Orange French Toast Orange French Toast
I used to buy ready-made orange toast, but I don't see it on sale anymore so I tried making it myself. If you prefer the toast to be soft, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk to the orange juice that you soak the bread in. If you like the toast to be crispy, don't add milk to the orange juice and use a baguette instead of sliced bread. Recipe by Kajesan cookpad.japan -
