Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 2 cupwater
  2. 1 tspchicken bouillon granules
  3. 1 packages(16 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
  4. 1 mediumonion, chopped
  5. 1/4 cupbutter or margarine
  6. 3 tbspall purpose flour
  7. 1 cupmilk
  8. 1 lbprocess American cheese, cubed

Steps

  1. 1

    In large sauce pan, bring water and bouillon to a boil.

  2. 2

    Add broccoli, reduce heat; cover and simmer for 3-4minutes or until crisp tender.

  3. 3

    Drain, reserving 3/4 cup liquid.

  4. 4

    In another large sauce pan saute onion in butter until tender. Whisk in flour until blended.

  5. 5

    Add the milk and cheese. Cook over med-low heat until cheese is melted, stirring frequently.

  6. 6

    Stir in broccoli and reserved cooking liquid.
