Butter a pan. Put butter in a pot and melt over low heat. Once melted, add marshmallows and stir until melted.

Add cereal and mix quickly. Turn off the heat and pour into the prepared pan before the marshmallow sets.

Use a cup lightly moistened with water to press down.

Once the butter is melted and the butterscotch is smooth, add warmed milk and stir until smooth.

Add nuts, mix, and spread over the Rice Krispie Treats.

Cut into pieces once completely cooled.
