Ewedu(Jute Leaves) with Blender
You can make ewedu with blender. No stress and if comes out well. Just follow the process! Serve with any swallow of choice. I prefer to eat it with Amala or Semolina.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Remove the ewedu leaves from the stalk
- 2
Rinse well with water.
- 3
Put the leaves in the blender and add the water
- 4
Blend on low speed for 2 minutes. Check if it is well blended. If not, blend again for 1 minute. Be sure not to over blend. It should look like this.
- 5
Pour in your pot and cook on low heat for 3 minutes. Add your salt and seasoning. You can add blended crayfish or blended melon seeds(Egusi). But don't add while blending please.
- 6
Stir occasionally with a wooden or plastic spoon. I found out that it helps the ewedu draw well than using a steel spoon.
- 7
That's it! Your Ewedu is ready. Eat with any swallow of choice.
