Cheese Naan Bread Cheese Naan Bread
In our home, we occasionally make naan to eat with curry. After making them many times, I settled on this recipe since it has a flavor and texture that my family loves. In Step 6, instead of using a rolling pin, you can just stretch out the dough with your hands. In Step 7, adjust the cooking time depending on your stove and frying pan. I put a thin film of oil in the pan, but you can omit the oil if you prefer. Recipe by caramel-cookie cookpad.japan -
Chocolate Coated Barley Puff Rolls Chocolate Coated Barley Puff Rolls
These days, bread-making ingredients are sold very expensively in shops. In our household, at least, sweets enjoyed on a day to day basis have to be gentle on the body as well as the wallet, and make the kids happy at the same time. This time, I didn't use just chocolate coated barley puffs, but also included strawberry coated barley puffs. You can just as well only use the chocolate version and be just fine. When you use the strawberry puffs instead, the pink color might pale a bit, but the taste will stay just fine. If you only use chocolate and only want to make one roll, that's fine too, but I would recommend splitting it into two batches after the second proofing stage, to make the work easier for you. Gluten-free Pizza Crust made from Rice Flour Gluten-free Pizza Crust made from Rice Flour
I thought up this recipe because I wanted to make a pizza that my daughter, who is allergic to flour, could eat. The outside of the crust is crispy. The center is slightly chewy due to the rice flour. Recipe by Bonrakusa cookpad.japan -
Fried Pastries Just Like Canadian "BeaverTails" Fried Pastries Just Like Canadian "BeaverTails"
I used to have these often when I lived in Canada, and wanted to come up with a way to make them at home. I researched recipes online and rearranged them to make my own version. The kneading process can be a bit challenging but my tip is to just keep on going! I haven't given this a try, but if you have a bread machine at home, it might come in handy.*This dough only requires one proofing. Recipe by Kourin cookpad.japan -
Soft Bagels Soft Bagels
I like chewy bagels, but I like soft and dense ones as well. These bagels can be used in many ways and are easy to eat. They're also good for sandwiches.Cover the dough with a damp cloth from the first rising to the shaping stage (Since the rising time is not very long, it is technically called “floor time”). Cloth is not needed during the second rising. For a smooth finish, remove the trapped air out of the dough really well before shaping the dough. Recipe by Masacchi cookpad.japan -

Rice Flour Bread in a Pound Cake Mold Rice Flour Bread in a Pound Cake Mold
I made this bread for my daughter who has flour and egg allergies. It's best to use rice flour with a thickening agent and trehalose in it. If using other flours, it might not be as fine and won't be able to absorb the moisture well enough, so they might not be good to use. Recipe by Chihimari cookpad.japan -
Chocolate Banana Stick Bread Rolls Chocolate Banana Stick Bread Rolls
Freshly baked banana bread with banana kneaded into the dough is light and fluffy and has an irresistible sweet scent when freshly baked. But when I tried to knead it by hand, the dough was so sticky, I had a lot of trouble. I changed the ratio of ingredients and shape of the bread little by little, to come up with this easy-to-make recipe.Regular bread dough may start out sticky but gradually become smoother and easier to handle, but this dough starts out stiff and becomes softer and softer. It also won't rise much, so you may be concerned, but when it's baked it will be properly airy and light. Recipe by caramel-cookie cookpad.japan -
