Ingredients

12 cookies
  1. 1 cupbutter, melted
  2. 1 1/2 cupspeanut butter
  3. 1/2 cupsugar
  4. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  5. 2eggs, beaten
  6. 2 1/2 cupsflour
  7. 1/4 tspsalt
  8. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  9. 1 tspbaking powder
  10. 10-12 stripscooked bacon, chopped

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven 350

    Melt butter and peanut butter in saucepan

  3. 3

    In large mixing bowl add sugars and butter mixture. Blend

  4. 4

    Add eggs, mix

  5. 5

    Add flour, salt, soda, powder and bacon

  6. 6

    Mix thoroughly

  7. 7

    Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets

  8. 8

    Bake 10 minutes and rotate

  9. 9

    Bake an additional 3-5 minutes or until cookies are golden

  10. 10

    Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to finish cooling

  11. 11

    If dough seems very soft, let it rest 10 minutes before scooping. Refrigerating the dough is not necessary

Started cooking/baking with Gram just as soon as I was old enough to stand in a chair, with her apron tied around my chest. Made my first solo Thanksgiving meal at age 8. Putting a new flair on classic nothern New England style cooking.
