Preheat oven 350

Melt butter in small saucepan pan

In large mixing bowl, add sugar and melted butter

Blend thoroughly

Add spices and salt, mix

Add eggs, mix thoroughly

Add flour, powder, soda, oats. Mix

Add chocolate chips, mix

Scoop dough onto parchment lined baking sheets

Bake 8-10 minutes and rotate

Bake an additional 3-5 minutes until cookie sides are set and tops are slightly glossy

Cool on baking sheets about 10 minutes before putting cookies on racks to cool completely
