Ingredients

  1. 1 lbthinly sliced beef
  2. 1 knobginger
  3. 1medium onion
  4. .5 cupDashi stock
  5. 5 tbsp mirin
  6. 5 tbspsoy sauce
  7. 5 tspsugar
  8. 1/2 tspsesame oil
  9. 1 cup cooked rice
  10. 2Fried eggs (optional)
  11. 1green onion
  12. 1/2 tsptogarashi

Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

    Mix together Dashi stock, mirin, soy sauce, and sugar. Simmer in a pan at medium heat.

    Add in onions and ginger. Simmer and cover for 5 minutes or until soft.

  3. 3

    Add in meat. Simmer and cover for another 5-7 minutes or until cooked. Flip half way.

    Add 1/2 cup of rice to a bowl.

  5. 5

    Place the gyudon on top. Serve with a fried egg, green onions, togarashi, and a little bit of sesame oil.
