Chicken katsu is delicious and very easy to make. I sometimes ask my kids to help me prepare this dish. Very convenient for bento and quick meals. The curry powder gives this katsu a little kick. You can omit them if you do not like it.

Ingredients

  1. 1chicken breast, divided into four
  2. 1garlic, chopped or grated *
  3. 1/2 tspsalt *
  4. 1/2 tspgarlic powder *
  5. 1 pinchpepper *
  6. 1egg
  7. 2 tbspcornflour #
  8. 1 pinchsalt #
  9. 1 pinchgarlic powder #
  10. 1/2 tspcurry powder#
  11. 3 tbspcoarse breadcrumbs
  12. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Combine all * ingredients and rub on the chicken breasts. Marinate for 15 minutes (you can leave it all night in the fridge).

    With a fork, beat the egg loosely.

    Combine all # ingredients.

    Put the chicken breasts on the mixture of #. Then immerse into egg. Then into breadcrumbs.

    Fry in low heat, flipping them occasionally until golden brown.
