Chicken Katsu with Curry Sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1chicken breast, halved and pounded
  2. Flour + salt & pepper
  3. 1egg, scrambled
  4. breadcrumbs
  5. 1onion
  6. 2 clovesgarlic
  7. halfa carrot
  8. 3 cmginger
  9. 2bay leaves
  10. 1 tbspflour
  11. 1/2 tbspcurry powder
  12. 300 mlchicken stock
  13. 1 tsphoney
  14. 2 tspsoy sauce
  15. spring onions, sliced

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Coat the chicken breast with flour, continued with egg, and breadcrumbs

  2. 2

    Fry the chicken breast until evenly cooked. Cut into strips

  3. 3

    To make the curry sauce, saute the onion, garlic, ginger, and (grated) carrot

  4. 4

    Add flour, curry powder, and bay leaves. Pour the chicken stock. Stir well and heat until become thick sauce. Add honey and soy sauce to the sauce

  5. 5

    Use a hand blender to make a smoother sauce. Pour onto the chicken katsu. Garnish using spring onion and black pepper
