Cheesy Chicken Tender Katsu

I make this when chicken tenders are cheap.
I have memories of making this in cooking class.
It's best not to put the cheese too close to the edges of the chicken pieces. It will turn out better if you leave a space the width of your finger between the edge and the cheese. Recipe by Takuyuuta

Steps
- 1
Remove the white sinews from the chicken tenders. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper and then cut them open. Place the cheese on top.
- 2
Close the chicken over the cheese and lightly press on the edges with your finger.
- 3
Coat the chicken with the flour, beaten egg, and panko (in that order).
- 4
Deep fry in vegetable oil heated to 180℃. When the chicken turns a golden brown color, it's done.
