Easiest Scones / Drop Biscuits Ever

Quick and easy. I love the fact that it requires no kneading.
You can also add grated cheese before you mix in the milk for a more savoury scone.

Woke up craving for scones. Went to my pantry and found all the ingredients I needed. when I was looking for milk in my fridge, I couldnt find it, then I thought "what's the difference between milk and sour cream". My mind said "huge difference!" But I said to myself, let me just try it. To my surprise they came out perfect and tastey too! nchiliza64 -

Butterless Drop Biscuits Butterless Drop Biscuits
Just as tender and fluffy as traditional drop biscuits, but don't let the name fool you. These are not fat free biscuits just because they are butterless. Lol. This is just a yummy version to whip up when you want biscuits, but find yourself without butter. StephieCanCook -
Easy Biscuits Easy Biscuits
After many trials, this is closest to the original.Stop immediately once the dough has formed. Do not over-knead, or it won't crack. It's fine if it's slightly powdery.Mix briskly without over thinking.During the hot season, let the dough cool in the fridge, then the scones will crack when baking. For about 6 cm × 6 biscuits. Basic Scones Basic Scones
I modified a scone recipe that I fond in an old English cookbook to use cake flour instead of whole wheat flour. I know it off by heart but thought I'd make a note anyway. (I combined this recipe with the old "Earl Grey Scones" recipe that I had already uploaded).Due to using vegetable oil and allowing the dough to sit in a warm place, these scones have a moist, fluffy, and soft finish. Adjust the baking time depending on your type of oven. You can eat these the day after you've made them by either popping them in the toaster oven or heating them up for 10 seconds in the microwave. Egg-free Easy Scones Egg-free Easy Scones
This is actually the first scone I ever made when I didn't have any eggs...I think they are rather like KFC's biscuits when they are freshly baked, but maybe it's just me.If the dough is too soft, it's fine if you dust your work surface so don't worry. In Step 4, you can put the dough in a sturdy plastic bag and knead it over the bag, so your hands won't get messy.Serve with honey, jam, cream, butter since these are not very sweet. Easy Plain Scones Easy Plain Scones
I am addicted to making macarons, so the leftover egg yolks keep piling up. I couldn't be bothered to make cookies, so I used egg yolks instead of whole eggs in my usual scone recipe. They turned out just like the scones I once got at a bakery.*Adjust the amount of egg depending on your margarine. Sometimes 80 ml is just right, and other times it's not enough, so add lit little by little.*This time I used 2 medium size egg yolks. The texture becomes too crumbly if you add more than 40 ml.
