Cherry Cobbler

My father in law has a sour cherry tree in his front yard and my mother in law gave me the oatmeal cookie pack because my husband loves oatmeal cookies. Unfortunately he doesn't like those, so I decided to make this as one of our Thanksgiving desserts. It was a big hit. My father in law especially loved it.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Pour cherries into 4 qt sauce pan on med heat.
- 2
Add the following ingredients and stir frequently until it begins to boil.
- 3
Once cherries begin to boil and starts to thicken remove from heat stirring well. Set aside.
- 4
Grease 9x9 pan and pour cherries into it.
- 5
Mix cookie mix (I only use about 2/3 of the mix but if you use a bigger than 9x9 pan you'll want that extra dough) with a fork adding cream and butter, chunking butter up as you drop it in.
- 6
Cookie mix will begin to ball up. Start spooning it out onto the cherries. Spread out with fingers to cover top if needed.
- 7
Put into preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Cookie crust will look golden and cherries will be bubbling through. Enjoy! Serve with vanilla ice cream if you like!

This literally took like 5 minutes to prep!So my Mum gave me a can of cherry pie filling, and I’ve never made anything with that stuff cuz I’m not a cherry fan (unless it’s maraschinos lol). Soooo I wanted to make something warm and comfort dessert-ish for my fiancé and gave this a shot. I found this recipe on YouTube (Cathy W - Homemade Cherry Cobbler in minutes! -is the channel) and she seemed to look like she knew what she was doing. He said it was absolutely delicious and I needed to be making it again soon!! It’s super fast and super yummy, and it looks so pretty too! Enjoy! Danielle Morse -

It’s the 4th of July weekend, our Independence Day! Usually it’s a grub fest get together with lots of food, beer, and explosives😂🇺🇸 My job this year is a dessert and the mac and cheese. Always with the mac and cheese. I scraped together some ingredients and made this cobbler. It smells like I don’t wanna share it. Everyone fights for the crust so I made it with twice the crust. More crust=more crust. It tastes a lot like a fried cherry pie. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -
Peach and cherry cobbler Peach and cherry cobbler
My brothers finance found a apercot cobbler recipe and asked me to make it with peaches. I doctered it up bit. Cinnamon and vanilla are not in the main recipe. It was really good and every one loved it. I would recommend trying it before subbing anything unless you hate one if the fruits. ( we did times the recipe by 4 since we used peaches.)Link to original recipe:https://smittenkitchen.com/2008/06/breakfast-apricot-crisp/ Becky Webster -
