  3. 1 tspGarlic salt
  4. 1 tspbasil
  5. 1 tsporegano
  6. 1 packagesactive dry yeast
  7. 1 cupmilk
  8. 1/4 cupbutter/margarine
  9. 1/4 cupwater
  10. 1eggs
  11. 1grated cheddar and Monterey jack cheese

Cooking Instructions

3 hours
  1. 1

Mix together 3 1/2 cups four, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp basil, 1 tsp oregano, 1 package dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp).

  2. 2

Heat over medium heat 1 cup milk, 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup water until the butter melts. Then remove from heat.

  3. 3

Add 1 egg to the liquid mixture and mix.

  4. 4

Mix liquid into the dry ingredients well. Will be a moist dough, so no kneading, just mix well.

  5. 5

Place in covered, floured bowl in the refrigerator for 2 hours to 4 days.

  6. 6

Divide the dough in half. Roll each dough ball onto floured surface flat in a rectangle shape. Sprinkle with cheddar and Monterey jack cheese.

  7. 7

Roll up and put in loaf pans, let rise for 1 hour.

  8. 8

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. It will look pretty dark and if you take it out and it sinks stick it back for a little longer.
