Ingredients

  1. 6 cuppeeled sliced apples
  2. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  3. 3 tbspbutter
  4. 1 pinchground cinnamon to taste
  5. 1 tbsplemon juice
  6. 250 gramsself raising flour
  7. 110 gramscubed butter
  8. 4 tbspcold water if needed
  9. 1 pinchsalt
  10. 1beaten egg for glaze

    Peel core and slice apples put into a bowl toss in some lemon juice to keep the apples from browning

    Melt butter in a saute pan, add sugar and Apple's and gently cook until apples have slightly softened but not lost their shape

    Add cinnamon to taste and allow to cool slightly

    Make pastry by pulsing flour and butter until it resembles sand, add pinch of salt and enough water to form a dough ball. Remove from blender and wrap in saran wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

    Roll pastry into a rectangular shape place sauteed apples down the middle with the pastry around the outside cut slices down the pastry, then going from left to right pull over the apples and brush with beaten egg.

    Place on cooking tray put in oven for 15-20 minutes at 180C/350F until golden. Allow to cool before serving.

    Not really a step just a suggestion if u don't want to do a Platt u can put the apple mix onto the pastry and roll it up so that the seam it on the bottom and the sides are sealed. However put a couple of slashes on the top to allow the steam to escape, hope that helps enjoy
