8 servings
  1. filling
  2. 8 ozFinely chopped ham
  3. 1 cupCrumbled blue cheese
  4. 1 cupChopped celery
  5. 1/4 tspWhite pepper
  6. 2 cupshredded mozzarella cheese
  7. crust
  8. 1 boxFrozen puff pastry thawed according to package
  9. glaze
  10. 4 tbspmelted butter

Cooking Instructions

20 mins
  1. 1

Preheat oven to 425°F, grease a baking sheet

  2. 2

Mix together ham, mozzarella cheese, blue cheese, celery and pepper

  3. 3

To prepare pastry, unfold puff pastry onto a 20 inch long sheet of wax paper. Using a floured rolling pin, roll pastry into a 15 X 9 inch rectangle. 1 box makes 2 strudels.

  4. 4

Spread 1/2 filling lengthwise in a 5 inch strip down center of pastry sheet to within 2 inches of edges. Fold pastry over filling to enclose, folding in short sides first. Do same with 2nd pastry using remaining filling.

  5. 5

Place strudel, seam side down, on prepared baking sheet. Remove wax paper. Brush strudel with melted butter.

  6. 6

Bake strudel until lightly brown, about 10-15 minutes.

  7. 7

Reduce temperature to 375°F. Bake until golden brown, about 30-45 minutes more. Transfer baking sheet to a wire rack to cool slightly.

  8. 8

    Cut into servings and eat.
