Makes four "four square" waffles in a Cuisinart Belgian waffle maker.

Ingredients

  1. 3 cupswhite all-purpose flour, unsifted
  2. 3 Tbspwhite granulated sugar
  3. 2 Tbspbaking powder
  4. 2 Tbspbuttermilk powder
  5. 1 tspsalt
  6. 1-3/4 cupmilk
  7. 1/2 cupcanola oil
  8. 2eggs, beaten with a fork

Cooking Instructions

    Stir all dry ingredients together in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until blended. Using a large spoon or ladle, scoop about 1-3/4 to 2 cups batter into the waffle maker, spreading the batter with a silicone spatula. Close lid and bake to your desired crispness.

    Leftovers can be frozen and reheated in a toaster.

As a mom of two teen boys (one of which does not eat onions, peas, beans, and most other cooked vegetables) and a wife to a man who is always hungry, getting an evening meal together can be a challenge - especially when working full time outside the home and trying to schedule around the activities of a busy family. A crockpot and a microwave are my most used appliances, and I'm a freezer cooking fan.

Looks good, but don't use a mixer. It comes out almost like bread dough, not enough liquid. I may have to take apart my mixer to clean it.
