Moong Dal Paniyaram is prepared with a batter made with soaked green moong dal, mixed with onions, green chillies and is cooked on a Paniyaram Pan.
Moong Dal Paniyaram is very easy to prepare. The time goes only in soaking and grinding.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Soak green moong dal for 5 to 6 hours.
- 2
Drain all the water completely. Add the moong dal to a blender and blend it into a very coarse batter, using minimum amount of water.
- 3
Add this blended paste into a mixing bowl. To it, add the remaining ingredients: asafoedita, cumin powder, onions, green chillies, ginger paste, coriander leaves, curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, semolina, cornflour, baking flour and salt. Mix well.
- 4
Make small balls out of the mix. Deep fry these balls in hot oil on medium flame. These are made in Paniyaram Pan. So called Moong Dal Paniyaram.
- 5
Serve hot with any chutney.
