Ingredients

  1. Salt to taste
  2. To make Batter
  3. 3 cupyellow Moong Dal
  4. 1/2 cupUrad Dal
  5. 10-15ginger slices
  6. To make Dal Vada
  7. 1 cup of prepared Batter
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tspCumin seeds
  10. 1/3 tspbaking soda
  11. 1 tbspChopped green chilies
  12. 1/4 tspasafoetida
  13. Oil to fry

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash Moong and Urad Dal. Soak it for 4-5 hours.

    In a food processor add moong and urad Dal along with ginger slices! Blend until smooth!

  3. 3

    Now in a mixing bowl add 1 cup of batter along with Cumin seeds, chopped green chiles, Asafoetida and baking soda. Mix in circular motion for 3-4 times until it gets light fluffy.

    Heat Oil in a frying pan and once it is hot fry Vadas until golden brown!

    Serve crunchy golden hot Vadas along with onions or chutney! Enjoy
