Ingredients

  1. 1 cupchopped dates
  2. 1 cupboiling water
  3. 1 tspbicarbonate soda
  4. 2/3 cupflour
  5. 2 tbspbutter
  6. 1egg
  7. 3/4 cupbrown sugar
  8. 1 tspvanilla essence
  9. For sauce
  10. 1 cupbrown sugar
  11. 120 gbutter
  12. 1/2 tinnestle cream
  13. 1/4 cupmilk

Cooking Instructions

    Mix chopped dates, water and bicarbonate soda. Set aside

    In other bowl add flour and rub in butter

  3. 3

    In a bowl beat egg and sugar till creamy and add in flour and dates mixture beat it altogether

  4. 4

    Pour into a tin and bake at 180 for 15-20 min

  5. 5

    Sauce method:
    Place all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently until the butter has melted. Bring it to boil stir continuously. Boil for 5-6 min until sauce thickens.

    Pour sauce over pudding. Enjoy!!!
