So easy and ready in about 1 hour and 45 minutes combined prep and cooking time.
Cooking Instructions

Place the butter and shortening into the freezer

In a large food processor, combine the flour and salt.

Add the butter and shortening and pulse about 5 times.

Add the ice cold water and pulse until the dough comes together.

Turn out onto a floured counter. Shape into a disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Place it into the refrigerator while combining the ingredients for the filling.

Preheat the oven to 350 °F. with the rack in the center position.

In a large bowl whisk the eggs. Add the half and half and mix well.

Remove the pastry dough from the refrigerator. Flour the counter and roll out the pastry dough to fit a pie dish. Gently crimp the edges.

Whisk the salt into the egg mixture. Then stir the cheese and ham cubes into the egg mixture. Pour evenly into the pie crust.

Carefully place into the preheated oven and set your timer for 55-60 minutes, until completely puffed and set.

Remove to rest for 10-15 minutes.
