Chestnuts hase a sweetish taste, are rich in microelements and are very easy to prepare. This is also a great alternative to popcorn or chips as a snack.

Chestnuts hase a sweetish taste, are rich in microelements and are very easy to prepare. This is also a great alternative to popcorn or chips as a snack.

Steps

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the chestnuts.

On the convex side, cut each chestnut with a cross. Not deep, just skin.

Distribute evenly on the baking sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 20 minutes. Depends on the size of the chestnuts.

Notched chestnuts are easy to peel. They open up on their own during the baking process.

Serve hot chestnuts with butter, eat them plain, or add them to a salad.
