Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupwhole wheat
  2. 1/4 cupblack chickpea
  3. as per tasteSalt
  4. 1/2 tspoil
  5. Pinchmustard seeds
  6. Pinchcumin seeds
  7. Pinchasafoeitida
  8. 1small onion chopped (optional)
  9. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  11. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  12. as requiredLemon juice(optional)
  13. Pinchcumin and coriander powder
  14. Pinchblack pepper powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak chickpeas and wheat for 8-10 hour.

    Add to pressure cooker with salt, do 6-7 whistles. Remove water and keep aside.

    Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoeitida. Then add onion and fry for a while. (If u don't like to add then skip the onion, but it tastes simply amazing)

  4. 4

    Then add cooked wheat and chickpeas. Add all dry masala and mix well saute for a min. Then transfer into bowl and add lemon juice as per taste. Mix well and serve hot.
