Steps

In a mixing bowl combine sooji, curd, water, grated carrot, chopped onion and capsicum. Keep this batter aside.

In a pan add 2 tsp oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds start to sizzle add chana dal. Saute for 2 minutes on medium low flame till colour of chana dal changes to darker shade.

Transfer the tadka in batter earlier prepared and add red chilli powder, salt and schezwan chutney. Mix well and keep the batter aside for 15 minutes till sooji absorbs water.

Add baking soda in the batter and mix well.

Heat appe stand and grease oil in each portion. Pour the batter in each portion of appe stand. Cover and let it cook for 1-2 minute on low flame.

Once the base of appe turns golden, flip the appe with the help of a spoon and again cover and cook for 1-2 minutes

Once appe turns golden from both sides, serve hot with sambar,coconut chutney, Green chutney or Tomato Ketchup.. ENJOY!!!
